Learnpress lessons not showing

  • I have Learnpress installed and my course and lessons show in their lists fine. I’m unable to add any lessons to my course. When I try to add them, the little circle just spins.

    Possibly related, when I try to add a new section to a course, the icon just spins until I refresh the page and then it shows.

    No errors show in the Chrome console. I’ve tried disabling all plugins and it did not help.

    I had this installed a couple months ago and worked great.

    Thanks Brian. I enabled the WP Debugging plugin and checke dout the debug.log. A couple errors from a different plugin but none from LearnPress. I’ve disabled the other plugin. Same issue.

    As far as I could check about this issue that i have too, it’s that learnpress isn’t overwriting _lp_info_extra_fast_query in postmeta table for course entry.

    Each time you save a lesson on a course, learnpress save that relation on its database in learnpress_section_items… but on control panel ignores that, because it uses that parameter on postmeta.

    The weirdest thing is that for same post id it saves two times the same meta_key (“_lp_info_extra_fast_query”), but in any case, it ignores whatever you save on wordpress control panel about the course.

    I wonder if there’s an issue with existing tables? I installed it the first time and it worked great. Not sure what version. Then removed it. When I re-installed it, it showed the old data, but can’t load the lessons.

    I’m trying to install older versions to see if that has an impact and I’ll report back.

    I installed Learnpress different versions back to 4.2.1 but it had no effect. I then upgraded from that version to current and it didn’t help. I deleted all the tables and files I could find and it didn’t help. It still showed my courses but not with the lessons attached which was odd.

    I have another site on the same server, same theme, fewer plugins and Learnpress installed and works great there.

    I tried removing Wordfence and disabling all caching but that didn’t help either.

    For those who find this issue about LearnPress. Don’t uninstall it. You won’t be able to re-install it and it work. The developers recommend setting up a whole new site to get it working.
