learning to build a theme with thematic framework

  • I’m starting to learn theme development in wp and I stumbled across a framework called thematic while reading an ebook. The ebook was published in around 2010 and used WordPress 3.0 at the time. I was wondering if learning to develop a theme with Thematic is outdated or not.
