LearnDash Group Leader role has permissions reset by User Role Editor plugin

    Hi, our client keeps encountering an issue where their “Group Leader” role within LearnDash keeps getting its permissions reset and we’re wondering why we always have to go back to the User Role Editor plugin to add certain permissions again.

    Some permissions are related to managing certain LearnDash items but the most important ones are simply for Group Leader to have access to users to create them and enrol participants to their online courses.

    At first we thought it was a one-off, but the client is contacting our support team pretty much anytime she wants to make a change as the role has reset and lost many permissions.

    Any ideas on how to fix this?

    Hi,

    I assume that LD may re-create its user role automatically. Try as workaround to create new custom role (“Role A”), add there all additional capabilities and grant to a user 2 roles simultaneously: 1) “Group leader”, 2) “Role A”.

    I’ve done what you’ve suggested and I believe it will work from now on, even when we perform updates on the LD plugins every month.
