When you use WooCommerce with LearnDash, the Profile page has a link to ‘Edit profile’ that takes you to a page managed by WooCommerce : https://imgur.com/a/6c4EqoI.

However, if you want to make any account changes, you’re LearnDash users are very limited: https://imgur.com/a/XtWJzAu

There is no option to change your email, you can only change your billing address and password and you need a very particular 12 character password! Is there a work around this? I want the users to be able to have a simpler 8 character password, be able to change their email or their avatar.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi there,

By default with WooCommerce, customers should be able to change their account email address from the Account Details tab of their My Account page:

    account details

Regarding the password, there is no built-in setting to change the password requirements, however it can be adjusted via a PHP snippet. There are different guides for this online:
    https://rudrastyh.com/woocommerce/password-strength-meter.html
    https://wpglorify.com/remove-woocommerce-password-strength/

    I hope that helps!

    Hi,

Thanks for replying. The image you’ve shown shows more or less the same fields as my Account Details, so I gather that what you’re suggesting is that all the user needs to do is put a different email in that field (and the other fields I suppose) to change it. I didn’t consider this because the default text on this page doesn’t communicate that these details can actually be changed on this page. Perhaps a slight revision of the text that specifies that all details on that page can be changed would be a good idea. Thanks for the heads up though. And thanks for the links for changing the password parameters; I’ll give them a go.

    Cheers

…as an adjunct to this. Perhaps an adjustment or iteration of your plugin as it works with LearnDash that allows users to change the degree of password strength, and perhaps also change there avatar might be useful ??
