How do I create a leaderboard above the header/logo area?
I am using a premium theme (Stockholm) and certain widget areas are predefined such as top header left and right but essentially I want one simple (collapsible if empty) area to show a centered leaderboard 728px x 90px or a hero banner 970 x 250px using DFP tags, above my logo and menu area.
Will I need custom PHP? Is there some existing out there I can use? I am not a backend developer but site builder with basic html and CSS but my development skills end there!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi onedaycompany,

    Thanks for reaching out.

If your theme provides you with widgets in the right position, I would simply create a sidebar widget placement.

Since DFP is not that easy, So I would start with a simple image display or dummy ad type to test and set up the placement. In the next step, When the placement works, I would go ahead with the DFP ad units.

In this manual you will find more ways to place ads in the header of your website

    Best regards,
    Joachim

Hi there, the theme does NOT provide widgets in the right position. I need to create a leaderboard above the logo in the header, centred, for an online magazine. The sidebar widget is easy. But I need to create both advertising placements.

Is there PHP files that enable this?

    Hi onedaycompany,

    Thanks for your reply.

The author of your theme would be the best person to ask for advice to extend the widget’s functionality. Unfortunately, I cannot help you to modify it.

If you are familiar with PHP, you can create a manual ad unit and inject this via PHP at the position where you need the placement to appear on your website.

Alternatively, you could use the Custom Position placement of Advanced Ads Pro, which provides a frontend picker to choose your spot intuitively.

    Best regards,
    Joachim
