Lead Source Drop Down

I need to have my a lead source dropdown menu on my form but the form is sending the form name as the Lead Source instead of looking to my dropdown menu of items. I see the FAQ post on how to set a static lead source ‘website’ but I don’t know how to get it to look to my dropdown menu.
Is there a way around this?
