    When executing ldapwhoami -vvv -h <server> -p <port> -D <distinguishedName> -x -W on the commandline, Result: Success (0) is returned.
When ticking the Bind anonymously (to check connection to server). option in the plugin, this also works.

But as soon as I enter the same values as used in the first call to the plugins configuration fields, it shows Invalid service account credentials..
It seems to be not related to SELinux, since I’m running WordPress on Debian and don’t use SELinux.

Is there a way to see debug logs or anything I can check?

I’m no premium subscriber yet, but if I do not even get these basics started, I doubt that I will become one in the near future ??
So: Any ideas from support side? Due to company policies, I have some special characters in my password I can’t get rid of, if this helps.

    Hi,

This seems to be something related to the service account. I would need a bit more information in order to determine the exact cause. You can send out a support query through the plugin support form and we will be able to assist you further without having to disclose a lot of information on a public forum. Once we reach a resolution, we can post the resolution here.

I am also getting a similar issue and would appreciate some help. I am running a new deployment of 2008 R2 with a service account configured. I can test it’s connection with Softerra LDAP Administrator 2019.2 with GSS negotiation enabled. I have wordpress and this plugin on a fresh install of Ubuntu running php 7.3.11. The LDAP Server with anonymous bind works.
