    Hello,

Google says my website is slow. I have many pages with slow LCP (longer than 2s). When I look at the details the LCP is the plain text of the body, usually the first paragraph or header. They aren’t large images or anything. When just plain text is slow, is there anything I can do to reduce response time, or could there be other issues?

    Thank you

Your front page has a LCP of 2.4s for me using Lighthouse. Anything less than 2.5s is considered good. Overall score of 97 for a WP page is very good! IMO it’s probably not worth the effort to improve any further.

There are tons of articles online telling us how to improve LCP time. One example from the many:

The measures suggested are mostly to improve overall page speed, which in turn will help with LCP. Overall speed is really what we’re after anyway.

    Thanks,

All of my pages are still considered “poor” by Google Search Console, so I just wanted to do everything I could. You can close this case now.
