I enabled lazy load images for my article content images. I see works great for desktop. Also i use “AMP for WordPress” plugin for my AMP version of my site. But i noticed in amp pages images does not show.

As i checked amp page code, i see amp image tag like that :

<amp-img src=”data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7″ alt=”best things to do in 2018″ width=”571″ height=”600″ class=”aligncenter size-full wp-image-5448 amp-wp-enforced-sizes” sizes=”(min-width: 571px) 571px, 100vw”></amp-img>

Seems SG plugin lazy load code making problem there.

I disabled lazy loading from my site. So i cant put any live url to show that issue.

Please can you fix that? I would love to use Lazy load feature.

FYI, when i disable lazy load image option, my site AMP page images works well. So i am sure issue with SG plugin.

Thanks for reporting this, we will make sure to disable the Lazy Loading when the page is loaded via its AMP version.

this is normal webpage, lazy load applied on content images.

this is AMP version, you will see in image section there is some blank space.

I would like if you delete my those site links after you check, i dont know to expose those link to publicly.

AMP page images works now. But did you disabled for mobile version in responsive theme?

I think its not good decision to remove lazy load things for responsive theme in mobile version.

Lazy loading is good for page speed. Its not needed for AMP page but if you keep for responsive mobile version of site, it will be great.

Yes, we have disabled it for mobile. We will enable it again on a separate option in the upcoming update in January because people handle mobile versions in so many different ways it’s very difficult to handle all.
