    Hi everyone,

I’m not really sure how to word this question, but I’m a little stumped on how to troubleshoot this issue. In the Lazy Loading portion of Smush, I have all the boxes checked including Widgets. However, Hummingbird is still suggesting that I lazy load a bunch of images that I’m pretty sure are coming from my Pinterest Widget (PI Button plugin). For context, the widget creates a mini Pinterest grid in the sidebar that users can scroll or click. It’s slowing down my site.

Any ideas how to determine the root cause of why Smush isn’t lazy loading these .jpg images?

    Hey there @emmelinegb

I just ran a Pagespeed test for your other support ticket, and see that the Defer Offscreen Images audit is marked as “Passed”, meaning Google doesn’t see any problem with lazy-loading on your page.

Also, if you open your browser’s developer tools (F12 on your keyboard), and reload the page with the Network tab open in developer tools, you can see that all the Pinterest images are fully loaded in less than 1.9secs, which is awesome. ??

So I really don’t think you have anything to worry about there; you’ve done a great job optimizing the site. No sense pulling your hair out for a site that loads in 2-3 seconds.

    Cheers!
    Patrick
