Lazy Loading on Horizontal Scrolling

HI All,

So my website loads images horizontally. Once the page loads it seems as though the entire site “hangs” while the images load, then suddenly all images appear and then the navigation menu loads from top to bottom.

In my (limited) understanding, lazy loading works for images which appear above the fold of a website, so images load as you scroll down. Is there anything like lazy loading for images that do not appear (outside of the page to the right) when displaying horizontally?

I’m pretty sure if seen this before, just don’t know what I’m looking for :/
