• Hello,

    First of all thank you for creating a great plugin. Image optimization works great and really reduced the size of all my images resulting in better loading of pages.

    I tried turning on the Lazy Loading option. At first the site’s pages and images seem to load faster. But after a short while I noticed that images on the home page are not displayed when Lazy Loading option is turned on.

    If I hover over the place where the image is supposed to be, I can see it’s there as the cursor turns into a palm with a finger pointing and when I click the image/page is diplayed. Usually after this is done one or two times all the images show up on the home page.

    After refreshing the home page the images are again not displayed.

    Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!

    Cheers

  • Hi @mtripets,

    It could be a conflict with imagesLoaded script that is used on your site. I don’t see the issue on your site now, so it’s hard to say what is going wrong.

    Best regards,
    Anton

    Hi Anton,

    Thank you very much for getting back to me on this.
    I just turned Lazy Loading back on so if you have a few minutes to take a look at my site it would be great.

    Appreciate your assistance in advance.

    Regards,
    Michael

    Yep. For some reason 3 images that should be showing up in section “Featured Products” and 6 images in section “Products Category” are not visible. These sections are right under the block with “Why Products By CBDistillery”.

    Appreciate it Anton.

    Regards,
    Michael

    @mtripets,

    Yep, I can see it now. The class .wpb_animate_when_almost_visible is hiding the parent block. And then the class .wpb_start_animation should add fade-in animation. But with lazy loading this class is not added. I think this has something to do with scrolling actions and the theme is not able to listen to the scroll event. If you know what plugin or theme adds those classes, I would recommend contacting their support to see if it’s a known issue with lazy loading plugins and if there is a possible fix for that.

    Best regards,
    Anton

    Gotcha Anton,

    Thanks for looking into this. I really like the way Lazy Loading works in general and Smush does it great. It’s just this little thingie with the images and the two classes you mentioned.

    The theme is Shopkeeper by Bowtied and the two blocks with th eimages not visible are WooCommerce blocks. I will get in touch with both and let them know what you found. Let’s see if they can do something about this.

    Doesn’t sound like it should be crazy difficult.

    Thanks again.

    Regards,
    Michael

    @mtripets,

    I’ll test this out if I can replicate this. Will get back to you once I have more info.

    Best regards,
    Anton

    Much appreciated Anton!

    What’s interesting is the first time the home page loads and the images are not visible, once I refresh the page, the images show up.

    Michael

    @mtripets,

    Hm. It could be related to cache. Do you have any optimization/cache plugins installed?

    Best regards,
    Anton

    Hey Anton,

    No, no optimization/caching plugins installed. Just Shopkeeper theme, WooCommerce plugin, a few plugins like Content Views/Pro, WPBakery Page Builder…etc. Nothing really used for optimization/caching.

    Michael
