I am curious if there is a way using the native woo-commerce gallery-zoom and gallery-lightbox features to defer the request made to the server for the larger version of the gallery-image (which is used in the zoom overlay and lightbox) until the user actually begins to mouse-over the image and activate the zoomed view, or until the user calls the Lightbox open… whichever comes first.

    Thanks.

    Hi @willdelphia,

Whilst I’m not aware of a plugin I could recommend which could load the gallery images in the manner in which you describe but maybe another user of WooCommerce does and could offer some guidance.

    Hi @willdelphia.

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
