Hello. My home page has an image slider at the top. Will your plugin ensure that the images in the image slider are lazy loaded? If so, is it possible to instruct your plugin *not* to lazy load these images?

    Thanks.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi,

The images will be lazyloaded yes. The impact will be minimal though since they’re so high on the page.

OK thanks for that. But can you clarify what you mean by, “The impact will be minimal though since they’re so high on the page.” Specifically, how does the ‘height on the page’ make a difference? As I understand, all images not in the viewport will be loaded only when they appear in the viewport. Is that how your plugin operates? Or does it instead defer the loading of all off-screen images until the rest of the page is loaded? If the latter, then I understand what you mean by, “The impact will be minimal though since they’re so high on the page.” But if the former, I don’t see how the height on the page affects things.

It defer loading of off-screen images until they come in the viewport by scrolling for example.

OK. But in my case, there is no scrolling–a new image slides into view every 5 seconds, even if the user has not done any scrolling. So in this case, when does the browser load each image? Does the browser load each image as soon as it slides into view? Or does the browser load each image immediately after all other content has been loaded? Or something else?

    Thanks.
