When Lazy Loading is disabled, background images in sections are blank. I deactivated all plugins, cleared cache, and the problem is still there.

Also, lazy loading causes layout shifts. For example, when a user goes to a link from table of contents, it goes to the wrong section. Shouldn’t the image dimensions be specified, so the browser knows the size of the image? If this can’t be done in the image module, I have no choice but to use images with html in text sections, but that beats the purpose of the image module.

Also, images that are in the first visible viewport should not lazy load. That’s bad practice.

Hello,
Many thanks for reporting the lazy load issue. I’m able to reproduce it, this is a bug.
About the layout shift issue, I understand the problem. The image dimensions should be automatically set to the placeholder before the lazy loading occurs.
Could you share the link of a page where I can reproduce this layout shift issue when navigating internal anchors ?

Thanks for your help. Both issues ( background not loaded, and broken anchor scroll on click ) have been fixed in the upcoming next release, available in a moment.

Hi Nikolas! Tested it and it now jumps exactly on the correct anchor and it looks even better. I’m marking this issue as resolved. Thanks for the quick fix! You are awesome!
