If activation of Lazy Load removes images from site, it usually means that there’s either another plugin (or the theme) adding some sort of lazy load feature already and that causes a conflict or there’s some issue with page markup.
In this case, I believe you’re using SG Optimizer (from SiteGround). Is that correct? if cache is enabled there, it could also explain why the issue wasn’t gone after deactivation of the plugins.
SG Optimizer does have image optimization, including Lazy Load, built-in so in this case it it should either one or another used but not both at the same time. In order to use Smush Lazy Load, you’d want to first disable Lazy Load (and, preferably, other image optimization options as well) in SG Optimizer, clear cache and then enable Lazy Load in Smush.
If I didn’t miss anything (though please note: I’m saying that only based on what I can see on the site as a visitor), that should solve the issue.
