I am currently using the slideshow plugin. I have 5 instances/slideshows on my landing page…and seem to be having some performance issues since all pictures are loaded on domready. After enabling ‘Lazy loading’ in the plugin setting, nothing seem to change.

I will appreciate any help on how to actually lazy load the images (e.g. only load image on slide entrance). Are there also other optmization techniques which can be applied to the slideshow plugin?

    Thanks.

Hi, how large are your images? How many plugins do you have active in your website? Are you in a shared host, VPS or dedicated server? How much memory is allocated to your website?

The above are just a few questions that should set you on the right path.

    Hello.
There are only three plugins activated on the website.

On the slideshow plugin, I am serving only about 30 images with average size of 80kb each. The site is hosted on Amazon (Cloud) Web Services,… so I am sure we have some good hosting.

    Thanks a bunch!
