    Dear Support,

I would like to ask for your support as the plugin does not appear to work as expected.

My website is made by a menu which expands if somebody moves the mouse on top of it. In fact, the menu shows submenus with a dynamic image changing for each submenu.

As the mentioned submenu images are not immediately visible and I have activated the lazyload, I would expect that these images were loaded with a lower priority. In other words, they should be loaded after the main product page image.

Instead, when I analyze the water fall it appears that the menu images are loaded first and only after the the product page image is loaded. Therefore, my website is affected by poor LCP.

Please find here the evidence: https://snipboard.io/uFz9fr.jpg

Google is severely penalizing me because its assessment of the page speed it considers the time necessary for loading the product page image and not the menu images. Therefore, it assigns a slow LCP loading time.

Why the lazy load does not affect the menu images?

Is there a way i could defer the loading of the menu images (therefore prioritizing instead the product page image) ?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    F.

    Hello @fabiovito83,

I reviewed the provided page and as far as I can see, the affected images are not lazy loaded. Such issues usually occur when something alters the markup of the image, which in turn prevents our plugin from properly applying the lazyload optimization.

If you use another performance plugin, my recommendation is to disable it and test again. Some themes also come with performance enhancement features, which could potentially interfere with the lazyload. If your theme has such settings, you can try disabling them as well.

In case you are having troubles narrowing down the problem and you are a SiteGround customer, please contact our Technical Support team and we will further look into this.

    Best Regards,

    Tsvetan Mitev
