I have a html iframe embed on my WordPress site with a Vimeo link. I also have a fallback image. However the still image only shows for a second, before getting a black screen, while the video loads. Is this something I could prevent using this plugin, I have it installed but am not noticing a difference.

    Hi @danie1234,

Sorry for taking some time to answer. I’d guess you’re seeing a black screen instead of the fallback because the iframe has already loaded, just not the video inside it. As for if this plugin can solve it, I don’t think so I’m afraid. This plugin only helps if you want to delay the loading of the iframe until the part of the page it’s on is visible on the screen, but I suspect you would still see a black screen while it is loading. Currently this plugin doesn’t have any support for fallback either.

Also, it seems like the default settings are broken (it’s a bug), so if you didn’t enable any settings manually you would not see any difference anyways.

I’m getting the same problem. It only seems to happen after reloading a page a few times, ie the first few times I load the page the video plays fine, then it just goes black even though the sound plays. After a few reloads the video somethines plays ok

I’m using iframe in order to show captions by default on small screens. In testing I have noticed that the same problem occurs when embedding the video using the native vimeo insert (just the vimeo url)

    Any ideas?
