    I’ve switched on Page Optimization > Media Settings > Lazy Load Iframes, but Pingdom test shows a whopping 1.2 MB page size, with YouTube video comprising 71% of the size. It seems lazyload isn’t working.

  • Lazy load works at the linked page and with Youtube video. You can verify it by your own if you use browser developer console. If Pingdom objects to it, it’s most likely because Pingdom doesn’t support lazy loading for iframes. The lazy loading of iframes is not a native browser function and is therefore not supported by all test sites. This means that the iframe will load normally.
