The event meta section below the content of the event (post content) is mostly arranged in an unattractive way. I would expect that the columns (all meta segments) have all the same width and are flexible arranged in one or more row(s) depending on the width of the parent container, so that each row is 100% filling the width of the parent container. But this is not the case. There are two or three columns combined to a section.primary and maybe also .secondary with varying width in one or two rows. The result are meta blocks never aligning with the post content above. This results in an ugly layout structure.
Is there a way to change this to the expected layout arrangement?

    Regards
    Tom

  • haha “mostly unattractive” is an understatement! The meta “blocks” are partially out of screen and/or under/over each other so you can’t use them.

This behavior refers to any event single view on any account and all of the latest TCE versions! It is not a specific issue. I will add 2 links of screenshots to show what I mean.
The problem is the rendered HTML-code of single-view template. But it seems that the rendered code does not only depend on the single-view template. My questions is, how to build a meta section with the expected layout so that all rows filled 100%?
The unused space is hatched in purple: with 4 columns, with 5 columns – There should be no unused space!

    Hi @tomybyte ,

Thank you for your message and the information.

This would be subject to template customization; however, such an endeavor is out of our scope of support.

If you are comfortable handling (or writing) code, an excellent place to start finding documentation of our code functions would be our?DevDocs: and our?themer’s guide.

Should you wish to move forward with template customization, the file of interest would be the following:

    • \wp-content\plugins\the-events-calendar\src\views\modules\meta.php
