Layout removal and insetting

I want to be able to include wordpress in my personal sites settings (with layout and colours and all)
How do I do that?
With b2 I just put a header and footer in the index file, and I can do that as well in wordpress, but how do I get tables around my date and blogger??
How do I get rid of the css and use my own instead as well as removing the green “banner” on my site as well as the links on the right?
Im a newbie, so…
