Launched my first blog today

Welcome to WP blogging Martin! It looks great! I haven’t seen that theme before. Is it something that you created?

it’s modded from fspring by Fahlstad, I got a load of WP demo’s and code from this month’s Web Designer mag, they also had the plugin for the bottom footer which works nice. Name’s a bit lame but it’ll do the now.

Got some suggestion here, the sidebar list – when hovering the background cannot cover the whole block. Do you make it that way because I feel it would be nice if the background(grey) can cover the whole block.

Contact page – there is many wordpress plugin that you can choose to create a contact form. It’s much better than using mailto, right?

hadn’t noticed the hover block thing, but it only seems to do it on the top link in in each section and between each link in my links, the rest of the links are closer together, a CSS issue I think, I will look into it.
the mailto link is probably a bit lazy, I’ll look into that aswell. Cheers for the feedback.

just added drop down “more” links to the posts, works quite well.

would like to have the drop downs “slide down” which would involve JS i imagine, is there a plugin to do this ??

I don’t know of any plugins, I think what you’re looking for is the expand/collapse java script. I’ve been looking for some help on that issue myself, here are a few links I’ve found which may help, I’ve not had time to try any of them myself, though, so I don’t know –

How do you add those photographs, I really like the way they are added into the posts.

I added the images from a folder I keep separate to WP on my server. I added them by using the add image link when writing a new post then editing the html to add links to the image if necessary.
