I want to make a mathematic quiz for my website, but the latex code isn’t working properly when use in the “Text” answer type, other answer type like “Radio” works perfectly

    I have Mathjax-Latex enabled

  • Have you tried it with a simpler equation, e.g. \[x\], to make sure that it’s not a syntax issue?

    It’s not a syntax problem, It’s the plugin’s issue

    Dear @baitaphoa,

    Thank you for your topic.

My apologies for the late reply – weekends are non-working days for us.

Regarding your request, please, check whether you have followed all the steps correctly.

Firstly, you need to install the MathJax-LaTeX plugin, then take the codes of the MathJax Plugin and insert them into the WP Editor to make your preferred math equations.
After installing the plugin, you need to perform the steps mentioned in the following documentation to achieve your desired result.

    Here is the guide: https://docs.mathjax.org/en/v2.0-latest/platforms/wordpress.html

Then, you can take your preferred MathJax codes and insert them in WP Editor (for instance, in the description of the quiz) and the math equation will be displayed accordingly.

Please, check again and let us know about the outcome.

    Thank you.

The Latex codes work fine in description, “Radio” answer type, but not “Text” answer type. I have tested everything and still haven’t managed to find the problem.

I used the same code as the one above

The image below is when the code is used in quiz’s description

And this is the same code when used in answer with “Text” answer type

    Dear @baitaphoa,

    Thank you for your response.

I would like to note that at the moment it is designed in that way, so that in the inputs the MathJax code doesn’t work.

But we will take your request as a suggestion and will let you know in case of adding it in one of the future updates.

    Thank you.

    Thank you for your reply.

Please, note that the given problem is not connected only with our plugin and it is coming mainly from the MathJax-Latex plugin.

At the moment, unfortunately, we will not be able to find a solution for the given request.

    Thank you.
