I have been using WooCommerce for some time but suddenly after the update my site seems to be topsy turvy.

For one, none of my variable products can be added to cart – the cart button just does not show.

Second, instead of the bar in the widget area for ‘Filter by Price’, there are two boxes in which one has to type the prices.

Thirdly, I had a WooCommerce compatible magnifier. One that would allow customers to zoom onto the product and stop them from downloading the image. Despite the fact that it is enabled, its not working!

A fourth problem is that on simple products, the arrows near the cart which allowed a customer to add or decrease the quantity of products they would like to buy – its not there anymore.

Fifth, under WooCommerce — Settings — General, Lightbox enabled is ticked yet it is not showing so on my site.

Sixth, the sorting categories by price, popularity, rating, etc are not applied even when clicked on.

Seven, on products that have many images in their product gallery, they are all being shown under the featured image instead of one being able to scroll to view more than 3, as was before.

If anyone has a solution to even one of the problems above, I would be really grateful.

    Thanks a lot

  • I’m having the exact same problems. When I updated to the new version I’m unable to add variations to the cart. I haven’t tested the rest of the stuff you mentioned above. But this must be fixed Prior to XMAS!!!!!

Hi Savacom! My theme author provided an update and after backing everything up, I attempted to update the theme and everything went back to normal! I am so glad!

Maybe you could try the same, or contact your theme developer to provide an update. Hope it works! Please make sure to back your whole site up though, just in case anything goes wrong. I did it using FileZilla ??

I only need to charge tax in Virginia. Before this latest update everything was working fine. Now taxes are being calculated for every state. My DEFAULT CUSTOMER ADDRESS is set to Shop base address and the only rate I use is STANDARD, which is set to VA for 5.3%

Help! My client is getting very upset.

When the user adds their address the rates will change.

How do I prevent that from happening? I do not want to charge tax for any state but VA.

    (@mikejolley)

Then you do want it to happen- only customers in VA should pay taxes, no?

Exactly. And that’s how it was working. But now it’s charging tax in all states. How do I fix this????

    Plugin Contributor Mike Jolley (a11n)

    (@mikejolley)

Right. So when you go to checkout, add your non-va address, the tax will disappear. Thats how it works.

Until the user does this, it assumes they are in your shop base location.

But it IS charging tax on non VA states. This wasn’t happening before the newest update and I MUST get it resolved. Please help instead of telling how it SHOULD work when it isn’t. ;-(

I don’t have access to your settings so I cannot really do much else. All I can say is, it must be either your TAX SETTINGS, or a plugin you have installed alongside, because there is no bug.

Look at the tax settings, specifically the setting about which address to tax. Maybe you have it set as base.

I do have it set as base. What should it be?

    Customer shipping address.

    Thank you. Hoping this works.

I changed that under Tax Options. Under General Options I have Default Customer Address set as shop base address (which is in VA). Correct?

    Plugin Contributor Mike Jolley (a11n)

    (@mikejolley)

Thats fine. So new customers will be set to base, but when they change their address the tax will be based on THEIR address.
