• I updated to the latest version of the Gutenburg Variable Column Plugin and the layout on my front page quit working. The column settings were not working and when I tried to set up new variable columns I was not given the option to set the column widths whatsoever. I have reverted back to the previous version so everything is working again. There is a glitch with the new version that is breaking the formatting from the previous version.

    As an update. I deleted the older version of the Variable Columns Block and installed the newer version and there was still no change with the issues I described in my inital post. Please review the screen shots I sent so you will be able to see the issues the newer version caused. It is really buggy and does not work.

    This is ridiculous!! I have been waiting for an answer for 5 days. The updated plugin is not working!! How do I report the developer for lack of response and communication!!

    These are volunteer-driven support forums, you can’t report someone for not volunteering enough of their spare time to help you out.

    I understand, but this developer is using the same canned response on every topic having to do with his plugin. How is that helping resolve the issue whether it is on spare time or not.

    Yea they did do that twice recently, but I can see why. The screenshot they took to help you or that other person also relates to you – Someone had an issue with blocks and they showed an example of it working; at the same time showing an example of the columns for you.

    It’s not great support to say “It works on my end” and maybe that’s something you can feed back to the author.

    When you’ve had enough, feel free to write a review of your experience. We just have to ask that as a last resort, rather than a stick to hit people with to get faster support.

    Thank you Andrew. I could understand where that could apply to me.

    I also sent the developer a host of screenshots I took before and after both updating and totally reinstalling the the plugin to show that it was not working. I had to send them directly through email because there were so many of them.

    He also marked it resolved before even waiting for a response back to know that it was not resolved.

    I’m really sorry for not getting enough time to reply on threads. Basically, I am a full-time web developer which is my primary job. I do love to contribute to WordPress community but for that I have to take out time from my hectic schedules. I hope you can understand.

    If I talk about an issue you are facing, I haven’t got any email regarding the same. Instead, can you please post screenshot here so other users can get update if they are facing same?
