• I’m currently with BigScoots and today I noticed extremely erratic performance from my server. When I reached out to them, they said there’s a known issue with Yoast’s latest version of the SEO plugin which I have installed (14.0.4).

    RESULT:
Causing every single page hit to request the sitemap which is over loading PHP. Server is overloaded.

    EXAMPLES (provided by host):

    TEMPORARY SOLUTION:
In the in-term they’ve deactivated Yoast and disabled access to my sitemap as its completely over loading the server.

I think there are already hands raised on this forum with this issue. Hopefully we can collectively get Yoast’s attention and that they’re working on a resolution.
