LATEST VERSION – every single page hit to request the sitemap, overloading PHP
-
I’m currently with BigScoots and today I noticed extremely erratic performance from my server. When I reached out to them, they said there’s a known issue with Yoast’s latest version of the SEO plugin which I have installed (14.0.4).
RESULT:
Causing every single page hit to request the sitemap which is over loading PHP. Server is overloaded.EXAMPLES (provided by host):

In the in-term they’ve deactivated Yoast and disabled access to my sitemap as its completely over loading the server.I think there are already hands raised on this forum with this issue. Hopefully we can collectively get Yoast’s attention and that they’re working on a resolution.
