Latest version caused site problems Disable Comments/WordPress

All my sites were brought down this morning and my hosting provider JustHost says it was caused by disable comments.

(7:17) [Chintan] The update of plugins called disable-comments has caused all your domains to fail.
(7:18) [Jane] That plugin could be removed, you run it once and thats it
(7:18) [Chintan] Currently I have renamed that plugin in File Manager. If you wish to have that plug in you may reinstall it in your dashboard.
