Latest version bug with ‘Shipping Class Costs’ not working with * [qty]

    The latest version of WooCommerce (8.4.0) is not allowing * [qty] to be used in the Shipping > Shipping Methods > Shipping Class Costs.

    When you enter * [qty] after the price and save, only the cost is being saved. Give it a try and see for yourself?

    I’ve rolled back to version 8.3.0 and it works fine.

    If you save it the formula is still saved to the database and used in the checkout though – you just can’t edit it without typing it all out again!

    As @seank123 mentioned, this is due to a known issue.

    A fix is already planned in version 8.5.0, unfortunately, we don’t have an estimate of when it will be released.

    In the meantime, you can try the workaround in this comment, or keep using version 8.3.0.
