Latest version 5.4 breaks forms

Since updating to 5.4 our forms have lots of JS errors and do not work. Actually, we think the forms are submitting, but there is no ajax success or error message. Works without Ajax. Works when WP Rocket is disabled. Ajax is important as the forms are in popups, so we need that. WP Rocket is very important and we prefer to keep that. So rollback Contact Form 7 to version 5.3.2 works fine, so have done that until this issue is addressed. Seems something to do with the form action URLs, they return 404s. Permalinks re-save does not work.
