    Hello Support

This is a great forms plugin and it worked fine till now.

This morning my wordpress updated automatically to v5.1.
After this any changes I make on the wpform renders a blank form space on my content page.

    Please check something broke here.

    Thanks

I believe the issue is that if you add html code with the target=”” attribute, the form seizes to work.
This target html attribute worked fine before this latest worpdress update this morning.

Hope this narrows the issue for you. I would appreciate if anyone can fix this matter.

    Thanks

    Hi,

we got the same problem and had to roll back to the previous version of WP.

Please keep up us to date

    Thank you

@nikcvh1 Thanks for the tip! We just lost a few hours of work because the form vanished after saving! Unfortunately our export file was a little bit older…

A fix for this issue is needed asap.

The same happens to me, the problem and a possibile solution is well described here: LINK.

If you try to save a form with a link with a target=blank attribute, the form will return blank, as if you deleted all fields. You can recover some of the fields looking for the form entry in the wp_post table in the database.
The forms that already have the target=blank attribute work well, but pay attention if you want to edit them: first of all remove the “target=blank” attribute from the link and only then save and exit.

It’s not a workaround but at the moment is the best I can come up with to avoid this error.

Another form plugin I have in another site doesn’t return this error so I hope it’s something that can be fixed

Happy to announce that the problem is fixed with the new update of the plugin that is rolling out! Thanks to the dev for fixing it!

    Hi all,

Lorenzo is correct, and our team has just released an update this morning (version 1.5.1.1) that should resolve the issues being discussed here.

Thank you all for reporting the issue so that we could get to the bottom of it as soon as possible (in case you’re curious, it ended up relating to a recent change in WP core that altered how target="_blank" was being handled).

Once you have a chance to run this update, please be sure to check that things are now resolved and let us know!

    Thanks! ??
