    Hi,

I have just been forced to roll back your plugin to v1.4.3 due to the fact that you have totally changed all the shortcodes and widgets WITHOUT making the plugin backwards compatible to previous settings.

Issuing an update like this without warning and as “minor” is irresponsible.

Please make your plugin backwards compatible. We will not be able to update your plugin again until this is done as the work involved in correcting your inconsiderate creation on more than 150+ websites would be far too exhaustive.

  • Hello.

We have not changed anything in the plugin, as for backward compatibility. The syntax of shortcodes remains the same [jr_instagram id=”1″].
Try to update the plugin again, maybe something went wrong during the download or update.

If the problem persists, then send screenshots of what has changed and the description of the problem (for example, how the shortcodes have changed)

OK I will attempt to upgrade/install the plugin again and I’ll come back to you with what I find.

It was more than just shortcodes, in appearance->widgets the shortcode generator had a name change so all the widgets that were previously in installed in that area had been orphaned. We use PageBuilder and the Instagram Slider Widget was showing errors because the it no longer existed – orphaned. We received errors such as: “The widget JR_InstagramSlider is not available. ”

It was not just one issue, all settings for all widgets relating to your plugin broke. I doubt this is due to an issue with our upgrade process but I will test.
