    Hi
Sorry to say your latest update broke my site. Had to disable the maxbuttons plugin via FTP to get into it.

Oh that’s bad news. Could you share the exact error you got?

You can try to reinstall the plugin from the WP repo ( delete the plugin, and then find it again with the ‘add plugin’ function. If you do it this way, WP will detect any potential errors without crashing.

    No. That didn’t work.
Not to worry, I’ve deleted the maxbuttons plugin and am now using something else.

@globaltradinguk Thanks. I’ll take a look at that. That’s not something that makes the plugin stop working however.

@lawriem1 I’m curious to know why it doesn’t work, otherwise we can’t fix it. Breaking bugs are very rare and I’d like to keep it that way.

@globaltradinguk The error you specified should be solved with version 6.20.1

Our messages crossed each other. I think this need a little more doing than my intended fix, so I pulled that one back.

Expect a solution maybe later today, or early tomorrow ( European Time ).

Bas I did email you with a screenshot at 13:44 and said it seems to be a conflict with the SiteOrigin Widgets bundle.

Perhaps I should have done it via this forum. Sorry

Broke mine too! It is interfering with a.o. SiteOrigin

For now, until we fix the issues, you can remove your current version of the plugin and download version 6.19 again. Thanks for the input and understanding ( sorry for the issues also )

By now I released a new version with several fixes that are hopefully adressing all issues here.

If you want to be sure when updating you can

    – disable the plugin
    – update the plugin
    – activate the plugin.

This way it will be passed by the WordPress function that prevents sites from crashing ( just shows a warning ) when installing a plugin.

I have good hope it won’t be needed, but better safe than sorry.

I am getting this error when people visit my site (octane-athletics.com) or the admin site:

Warning: require_once(classes/maxbuttons-class.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/djimenez/octane-athletics.com/wp-content/plugins/maxbuttons/maxbuttons.php on line 60

Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘classes/maxbuttons-class.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/local/lib/php:/usr/local/php5/lib/pear’) in /home/djimenez/octane-athletics.com/wp-content/plugins/maxbuttons/maxbuttons.php on line 60

    Please help me!
