Latest update of slider breaks site

    When I updated the slider to the latest version using the plugin updater, it broke my site and threw these errors. It could be a conflict with another plugin which I disabled, but still got the same errors. I had to disable slider it to get the site to work again. Here are the errors

    Warning: fopen(/home/xxxxx/public_html/test/wp-content/plugins/slider-image-free/slider.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/xxxxx/public_html/test/wp-includes/functions.php on line 4737

    Warning: fread() expects parameter 1 to be resource, boolean given in /home/xxxxx/public_html/test/wp-includes/functions.php on line 4740

    Warning: fclose() expects parameter 1 to be resource, boolean given in /home/xxxxx/public_html/test/wp-includes/functions.php on line 4743

    Warning: session_start(): Cannot send session cookie – headers already sent by (output started at /home/xxxxx/public_html/test/wp-includes/functions.php:4737) in /home/xxxxx/public_html/test/wp-content/plugins/wd-facebook-feed/facebook-feed-wd.php on line 18

    I also tried deleting and reloading the plugin, without any luck.

    Any assistance would be appreciated. I would hate to have to switch to a different slider.

  • Same for me. Reverted back to .98 and its working fine again…

    I reverted back to 3.1.98 as well to get it working again.

    We apologize you are having issues with the plugin. We have reversed the slider to the previous version, you just need to update the plugin once again in till we investigate the conflicts.

    My problem is the same. Last night, after updating the plugin and trying to add a new picture on my front page I got these:

    and being totally amateur I asked for help my host who deleted it. The previous version of the slider worked fine for about a week.

    Just to check it twice – you say: “We have reversed the slider to the previous version” so as my slider is deleted, if I download and install again the slider it means this will be the old, 3.1.98, version? Thanks

    Yes it will be previous version for now until we make new updates.
