Latest update killed site

  • After updating to MEC Lite version 7.7.0, my site became unresponsive for ANYTHING dealing with images. Trying to attach featured images to MEC Lite events resulted in a time out/disconnection situation. Trying to upload images thru the Media library also failed.

    Memory usage went to max, CPU & I/O went quite high, and my site would shut down for a bout 5 minutes – see below. PHP is 8.1, WordPress is up to date.

    When MEC Lite is disabled, the problem appears to have resolved.
