Just updated the plugin and now my load order can not be recalled.
I even had one saved under an extra tab, but (surprise surprise) even when I load that all plugin are only in alphabetic order (as is the standard setting w/o this plugin).

ps: I’m travelling (GB spelling), only on mobile data, so I won’t be able to check back for continuous commenting…

The functionality to reorder the plugins has moved to a new page under Plugin Organizer in the admin menu. Are you looking at the order on the new page?

    I didn’t know that!
As a traveller with VERY limited internet access I can’t browse constantly through all sorts of things because there MIGHT BE something new hidden somewhere….
How about putting an ALERT SCREEN up once the update was successful?

It was in the release notes and upgrade notice.

I told you I neither have TIME nor RESOURCES (mobile data only) to chase such things… I want something which works w/o me touching it again (except updates maybe).
My consequence: plugin deleted as of y’day.

You know, that’s a pretty ungrateful comment from someone who has been using this plugin FREE.

Use your limited TIME and RESOURCES for constructive criticism and definitely always read the notes of plug-in updates to see what has changed before installing them (in addition to backing-up your database – you’re doing that right?!?!)

P.S. I’m not in any way affiliated with the developer – I just use this plug-in because it works and its the only one that does what it says it can do. Apparently, you don’t need it.

I’m sorry you felt you had to delete Plugin Organizer because the functionality moved to different page. The alert you are looking for is called an upgrade notice. It is the text that is presented below the plugin on the update page when there is an update available. No browsing involved. Just read the upgrade notice before you check it and click update plugins.

@pazzaglia – cheers for telling me to ‘grow up’, though I fear there’s not much hope for that, as I’m in my senior years (where one loses patience with badly written apps , badly behaved people, stupid comments).

    @webbeetle -> shame on you.

This is a well-coded plugin with an awesome support from the author – for free !!

It’s just your own problem that you’re on mobile! It’s absolutely normal to read update-notifications before you update your plugins.

Your settings are stored exactly like before, but you can’t see the result on your plugin-page since last update.

Go to “Plugin-Organizer” in your left admin-sidebar. There you can find “Group And Order Plugins”. Here you can find the same order like before, but with an amazing improvement to setup plugin-groups.

If you delete the plugin, there is just one person with a dramatic disadvantage: yourself
