Latest update crashed my website with ERROR

    I had to restore my website from a backup. Previous versions worked pretty well. Clearly, the problem is with the plugin and NOT my website/theme as more users complained about it. Please re-check your latest update.

    I’ve tested this on several instances, using the Storefront theme and the latest WooCommerce version, and couldn’t replicate the issue.

    This kind of problem is usually caused by a conflict with your theme or with another plugin.
    ?
    The best way to determine this is to:

    • Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront
    • Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce
    • Repeat the action that is causing the problem

    If you’re not seeing the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict. You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here.

    Before you start

    First, please make sure you have a good backup in place of your full site and database. Most hosting companies have this included in the subscription, but you could also consider using a service like?Jetpack. If something goes wrong, it’s nice to know that you can restore your site.

    Second, I would suggest installing a plugin called?Health Check & Troubleshooting. This is a plugin developed by the WordPress community and it allows you to disable plugins without affecting your current site visitors.

    Thanks. Strangely enough I have the same plugins running on my website for 3 consecutive years with no particular errors whatsoever. I haven’t installed anything new and the website just crashed the moment I have updated with the latest Woocommerce plugin.
    .
    I already uninstalled all the plugins and added them back one by one and everything worked just perfect. Once updated to the latest Woocommerce, site went down again and I’m getting an error message.

    If the reason was the theme or another plugin it probably would have happened long time ago but it never actually happened until today.

    I had the same issue. I deactivated the woocommerence plug-in, deleted it and reinstalled the new version and my site is up and running. Hope this helps.

    Once updated to the latest Woocommerce, site went down again and I’m getting an error message.

    Since 12.06.21 all my Websites broken down when I updated the plugin of woocommerce.

    3 of my website stopped working due to WooCommerce update.

    With my host we have tried everything since this morning.

    We have reinstalled the plugin (WooCommerce).
    We have uninstalled all plugins and reinstalled WooCommerce.
    We deleted the theme and set it up again.
    I have completely reset the domain reinstalled everything.

    None of it worked.

    Every time we installed WooCommerce it didn’t work.
    It always shows in the backend of WordPress that the installation failed because the folder already exists.

    But it only exists in the webspace. If you delete it there and try to reinstall it always comes the same error message that the folder already exists.
    And suddenly it appears again in the webspace but not in WordPress.

    There are also two problem messages

    1. message

    Installation failed: The destination folder already exists. /homepages/26/d620342686/htdocs/clickandbuilds/simplelanguage/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/

    This happened with 2 websites.

    2. Message

    This happened on the 3rd website. I have updated version 3.2 to the latest WooCommerce version. Whenever I do anything with WooCommerce, all the error messages come up. I don’t want to delete the folder of WooCommerce in the webspace from this site, because there is too much work on it.

    At the first message my WordPress is still working but at the 2nd message website is completely gone in maintenance mode. I can’t access it anymore.

    We tried everything possible with the service person from my host for 2 hours, nothing worked.

    I hope I have explained this in detail.

    Could you please contact your hosting provider so that they can check your site server error logs to see if there’s any error showing there? Please tell them to enable the wp-config to debug the log and check if there are some recent errors there.

    Also, let’s check if there is an error on the WooCommerce Logs. So please, provide us the following:

    • System Status: You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”. Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.
    • Error log: share a copy of the fatal error log found under WooCommerce > System Status > Logs (if available)

    Thank you for sharing the logs.

    Up to this point, one of the last things I can recommend is to enable the WordPress Debug mode in order to see if you can see any error related to this issue there. This can be done by adding a few lines in the wp-config.php file of your WordPress installation. But I’ll definitely recommend you to reach your hosting provider so they can do this for you.

    Please note that after enabling the logs, you will need to update/install the latest version of WooCommerce in order to trigger the error so that the error can be stored in the debug.log file.

    It’s not resolved, it’s just that your solution was a little complicated to implement. So I decided to give up and skip the latest update for now.
