    Hi There,

    The latest update caused a critical failure in WordPress, I had to disable the plugin from my server as WordPress dashboard was not accessible. Has anyone else experienced an issue?

  • Hi Alex,

    There aren’t any known issues with the latest release. Did you receive any error messages at all?

    Thanks!

    Hi There,
    Wordpress sent me this message:
    Since WordPress 5.2 there is a built-in feature that detects when a plugin or theme causes a fatal error on your site, and notifies you with this automated email.

    In this case, WordPress caught an error with one of your plugins, MailPoet 3 (New).

    Error Details
    =============
    An error of type E_COMPILE_ERROR was caused in line 66 of the file /home/gayess5/public_html/wp-content/plugins/mailpoet/vendor/composer/autoload_real.php. Error message: require(): Failed opening required ‘/home/gayess5/public_html/wp-content/plugins/mailpoet/vendor/composer/../symfony/polyfill-php72/bootstrap.php’ (include_path=’.:/opt/cpanel/ea-php72/root/usr/share/pear’)

    Hi Alex,

    Thanks for sending that over. We haven’t been able to replicate that error yet, if you try and reactivate MailPoet does the same error stil happen?

    Can you also let us know which PHP version you are using, please?

    Thanks!

    Hi There,

    PHP is PHP 7.2

    The update failure for the second time deleted all of my newsletter settings and subscriber settings within a three month period. I have never had this issue before let alone twice.
