    latest update broke my site due to bad code that wrote to my htaccess file. I believe missing tags etc… had to rename htacess and create new one. Bad, very bad. Please provide better quality on code work especially to your updates. Thanks.

    from tech support: “…missing open <IfModule> is due to the LiteSpeed WP Cache plugin. It may not have added the opening <IfModule> tag when writing to the .htaccess file.”
    In case you cannot locate the bad code…

    could you please post the htaccess content on broken case and normal case ?

    In contrast to Apache LiteSpeed web server is very tolerant regarding any syntax errors in .htaccess and doesn’t cause issues like you reported, but you don’t use LiteSpeed. You have Apache web server running, that can cause issues if there are any syntax errors in .htaccess. You guess that cache plugin doesn’t set configuration in .htaccess correctly. Such case is absolutely new and I never heard about that cache plugin does anything wrong while writing configuration to .htaccess, so the probability is big that any user(you?) modifies .htaccess and causes the issue….
