Latest update breaks Thrive Architect page builder pages
-
After updating the Folders plugin from version 2.9.2 to 2.9.6 we’ve found that editing any image elements in the Thrive Architect page builder causes nearly all pages on the website to break. It appears that after the update, editing pages with the page builder causes the site to believe that most pages are set as the “blog” archive page. Rolling the Folders plugin back to the previous version doesn’t fix the issue, neither does re-saving the permalinks, or editing the reading settings to save them with the blog page selected as the blog archive page.
We’ve removed all plugins except for the Thrive plugins and are using the most up to date version of WordPress and the the most recent version of the Thrive Theme Builder theme for testing.
I can provide an admin user to the staging environment where you can follow the steps below to recreate the issue and I have a screen recording showing the issue happen as well that I can share.
To recreate the issue:
- Log into the website as an admin and choose to edit the partners page
- Change images and text and publish the changes and see that the page still loads properly on the frontend and the thrive page builder still lets you edit the page
- Go to the plugin page and update the Folders plugin to version 2.9.6 (currently the latest version available)
- Return to the partners page and edit in the thrive page builder, change an image to any different image and publish the changes
- View the page on the frontend and see that the page is broken and most other pages on the website are broken
- Refresh the page builder to try to edit the page again and see that it won’t allow you to edit the page
