Latest update breaks my front page

When I ran an update for this plugin recently the formatting of my front page got all screwed up (and I do not even have share buttons displayed on the front page).
Someone else here mentioned spaces being added to their front page. I could not tell if this is the same issue but extra spaces might well have been the thing that messed everything up.
I reverted to an older version so everything works now but I cannot update this plugin till this is sorted.

Doing what you requested worked for me. Running the updated plugin and the front page looks fine now with those excerpt boxes unchecked.Thanks!
I spoke too soon. Front page is still messed up. Although the formatting is better my adboxes are just gone now.
Reverting back to old version.
