Hi and thank you for a great plugin!

I use two languages on my site with the help of WPML. When using the latest reviews widget and displaying the {{ assigned_links }} information, I encounter a problem. The widget shows reviews submitted to pages in the primary language that are not translated into the secondary language. This means that if a user is browsing the site in the secondary language and clicks on an assigned link for a review submitted to a page in the primary language that has not been translated, the user is redirected to a page in the primary language, causing their language preference to switch.

Is this a bug, or is it intended to work this way? Is there a workaround?

    With best regards,

    bb

This is also the same when writing a review on a page in the secondary language that is not translated to the primary language. The review turns up in the latest reviews on a page with the primary language and hence redirects the user to a page in the secondary language if they click the assigned_links.

Did you enable the WPML integration in the Site Reviews settings?

This is how WPML works. You can change the settings in WPML for your post types to not fallback to the original language if the page is not translated. However, I haven’t tested this particular scenario so I can’t say offhand what that will do to the assigned link URLs…

    Hi and thanks for answering!

    1. Yes WPML integration is enabled.
    2. I’ve set the Reviews (site-review) in WPML settings to Translatable only show translated items.

Still not working. Do you have any more ideas?

No, don’t do that. Site Reviews does not support translating reviews with WPML, but it does support multilingual post assignments (that’s what the multilingual setting is for). What I meant was the post type in WPML that you are assigning reviews to, not the reviews themselves.
