Latest posts on the Homepage

  • Is there someone that can tell me how i can get the Latest Posts from my blog to show up on my homepage in this style https://bit.ly/1fiyIsF – where the selected post’s feature picture is displayed, and rest stay hidden.

    Can anyone suggest a plugin or even to insert it using shortcodes? Or access to code i could modify my theme with?

  • What theme are you using? Where did you download it from?
    Is your site’s front page also your main posts page as configured in Settings -> Reading?

    I’m using Twenty Twelve, and have set up my own home page. My reading is set to Summary.

    My reading is set to Summary.

    That is for your site’s RSS feed – not its front end display.

    Now i get your question.

    By setting up my home page, I′m referring to static information on the page, and selecting that “homepage” as my static front-page. (Similar to the demo twenty twelve frontpage https://twentytwelvedemo.wordpress.com/ )

    What i would now want is to show my latest posts on my “homepage” like picture i attached above.

    If you want your latest posts on your site’s front page, why have you opted to use a static front page?

    Is it the wrong way to go by using a static page? I was hoping to have some static content, under which i could place a magazine style display of my latest posts instead of a blog style front page. And then below which have more static content.

    Any suggestions?
