Latest post no longer showing on my site

  • When I logged into my site, the most recent post is no longer showing. However, I originally included a link on my Facebook page and when I click on that, the “missing” post shows. How do I get this post to show on my site?

  • Does the post appear in your dashboard at all? So at YOURURL.com//wp-admin/edit.php

    No, which is weird! But I can click on the link on Facebook and it goes there just fine. I’ve never had this happen before. The last post shown on my dashboard is the post immediately before the missing one.

    Who is your host? I’m trying to rack my brain as to what might be causing that. It doesn’t really make any sense that the post is apparently still on the site but not visible in the WP admin area.

    Any chance it’s a page and not a post?

    mclanea – OMG that is exactly what happened – I made it a page! How in the world…..

    Anyway, is there a way to change a page into a post? That would solve my problem. Thanks so much for that thought – you were right on.

    I would just open up the page and copy/paste it into a blog post. Once you’ve done that, you can mark the page you created as a draft or delete it or whatever.
