Latest Post Doesn’t Show

  • I’m having a strange issue, both in 2.6 and 2.6.1. The latest post refuses to show, until you make a new post, which then becomes the latest post, and doesn’t show.

    I noticed it’s showing in recent posts on my sidebar, just not on manage pages, and not on the homepage.

    Change Design to use default theme. If latest post shows up in default theme, then it will be the theme you were using that caused such behavior.

    You might try checking your theme’s index.php file (unless your theme uses a custom home page file, like home.php) to see if there is a custom query being performed using the &offset=1 or something like that, which tells WP to skip over 1 post ….
