Latest NGG Version 2.0.71 Broke Voting Restrictions

  • Next Gen Gallery Voting does not work properly with the latest release of NGG version 2.0.71. I placed the tag in the correct place in the template, and even though I have selected one vote per image enforced with cookies, users can vote as often as they like. I have not been able to get this working. Everything was working perfectly before. I have the premium version of your plugin.

    I have reverted to version V2.0.66.37 and I have managed to get the voting regulation to work again.

  • The NextGen Gallery Voting tags added to the NextGen Gallery template php files were removed after updating NextGen Gallery to 2.0.71 so voting is no longer available. Is there something to do to keep this from happening again?

    @hardimanja: This is now a confirmed issue. NGG has changed something in the latest version that the voting plugin was relying on to set the voting restrictions.
    I will try to get an updated version out that fixes the issue ASAP.

    @aiaconnecticut: This is just an issue with the way the WP update system works. There used to be a way to maintain the templates in NGG v1, but at the rapid rate NGG is updated, I’m not sure if it still exists. I will investigate and document it if I find a way.

    Hi all
    NGG 2.0.77 has fixed the bug that broke the voting restrictions, so everything should be back to normal ??
