Hi, i have just updated to the latest version of MainWP Dashboard (4.5.0.1) and now when you click on “Jump to the site WP Admin”, it opens up the website, but just the website, it does not log you in, but before this update (i was using it this morning) everything worked perfect.

    Thanks… ??

    UPDATE!

For the websites with issues they all use the same hosting company, but after checking, not all websites have the issue. I have just done a sync and the ones that show as connected all login fine from the single click, but some now show as disconnected, but are on the same server.. HOWEVER, i have just seen the message below as a status update from IONOS, so assuming it will clear once they have completed updating, i will repost here the conclusion, any advice would be appreciated though… ??

    Scheduled

From 16 August 2023 to 31 August 2023, we will update the operating system on our Linux Shared Hosting product platform servers. You will benefit from better resource utilisation, increased system security and the use of current security protocols. If you are using an HTML/Javascript/CSS website or a PHP website created with a CMS such as WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, Prestashop or self-developed, your website will continue to function without changes.
Scripts and applications currently running with Python version 2.7.16 must be updated to Python 3. Python version 2.7.16 will no longer be available after the update.

    Hi @stephenturner

Thanks for updating us regarding the scheduled server maintenance your host is performing.

While we wait for that maintenance to finish, please make sure that the affected child sites are running the latest MainWP Child version v4.5.

If the issue should persist after the server maintenance is complete, please open a private Help Desk ticket so we can investigate further.

Update… Hi, i thought i’d just pop this here. I have now experienced the issue across all my hosting providers, but not all websites, but most of them. Since the latest update some websites show as connected, but most as disconnected. The ones that are connected, not all of them will open up the website in the admin area.

To fix you have to disable the child plugin, re-enable the child plugin, reconnect on the main dashboard, so it seems it was not my host updating the servers as it’s happened across 6 different hosts i use.

I see in other support posts others are having the same issue, i’ll leave all my sites for now incase a fix can sort it, otherwise in time i will just update every site (hope i don’t have to do this again though, it’s gonna take ages).

    Fantastic plugin though!!!!!

    Hi @stephenturner

Deactivating and reactivating the MainWP Child plugin indeed will usually fix the connection issue after the 4.5 update.

We have a KB that covers another method if that one should not work: https://kb.mainwp.com/docs/fix-the-disconnection-issue-after-upgrading-to-4-5/

Hi, unfortunately, this does not work, you have to remove the site and add it again, just deactivating and reactivating does not make the dashboard jump to the admin (logged in), so i’m doing each one by one, unless i’m doing something wrong… ??

Sorry, it does work if the sites are showing as not connected, but for the sites that are showing as connected, you have to remove the site and add it again… ??
