• I had to disable Speed Booster Pack on two more sites this week due to conflicts with the EventOn calendar plugin. “Next” events weren’t loading and the function to click and view next/previous months stopped working.

    I suppose I could have done some troubleshooting to see what Speed Booster Pack settings were the culprit, but at this point when I have an issue on a site with Speed Booster Pack installed I just disable it and in 95% of cases the issue goes away. My first instinct now is to disable the plugin, remove it, then move on with my life.

    Hi @djenk;

    Can you try turning off the “Move scripts to footer” option on SBP settings, and try again? Sorry for that to happen, but it’s actually a bug we fixed that caused another bug (possibly due to a clash with other performance-related plugins).

    Also, we can help you by logging in as admin if you create a user for us. We can continue the conversation here if you’d like to get to the bottom of this issue: https://optimocha.com/contact/

    I’ve already removed the plugin from both sites. Your plugin keeps causing issues with things like Gravity Forms, EventOn, and other plugins I’ve mentioned in various comments here. I don’t want to have to trouble shoot your plugin anymore, really. I just turn it off and delete it when it causes issues.

    It used to be a no-brainer to install and use your plugin, now it’s a gamble. I don’t have time to troubleshoot and tweak SBPack settings after I update other plugins and conflicts arise.

    Gotcha, sorry for the issues. Last question then: Did the issues start happening after the latest release or since an earlier release?

    If you’re asking about issues on other sites, I guess 2 or 3 months ago. Whenever I first posted about it in the comments here. I always first see if there’s an update for SBP, but updated or not, deactivating it has been the best fix for me.

    Understood. Granted, the plugin needs much work and after we (as Optimocha) acquired the plugin, we started working with a PHP developer for fixing all the stuff. In fact, a complete rewrite is also on the table! ?? But all in all, it’s not a half bad plugin – hopefully it’ll get better and better each month (we’re thinking two updates each month).

    Again, sorry for the issues. If you ever want to help us out, you can reach us on https://optimocha.com/contact/ so we can get to know the issues you’ve encountered before. Totally optional, obviously.

    Also, to compensate your frustration (if we ever can), I can offer discounts on our speed tailored optimization services.
