Latest blog posts on static home page

  • OK, so my new website has a static home page and a blog page. I am desperately trying to get the home page to show a list of the latest blog posts (under the news and announcement section) but I can’t get it to work. I’ve tried RSS reader plugins, the loop thing, etc. Can somebody smarter than me just tell me how to make this work? It appears that my theme (cloriato lite) wants me to add HTML code to that area, and many of the solutions are giving me PHP. Seriously, someone please just give me the answer. Completely dying here.

    Well if the area you want to show the latest posts on it is the sidebar or a place which accepts widgets, you can install a plugin that do this. There are many plugins that can help you with this.

    I am using Cloriato theme and it’s all built but one issue.
    The latest blog post I published doesn’t show up in the blog section. I created a Blog page so I can add the blogs to the navigation.
    Currently the homepage is using the default, so I cannot change the setting to home/blog and it’s on default so it all shows up.

    How do I add the link to the blog section to the navigation and get the latest post inside that blog section?
