• Now before you people at WP get stressed and delete this I want to assure you I have created this to help not hinder.

This is a 64 bit version of apache mysql server
    Apache/2.4.20 (Win64)
    PHP/7.0.7
    Mysql 5.5.50
    phpmyadmin 4.6.2
    mysql workbench 6.3
All passwords and usernames are root and root.

This will work on any drive including a USB stick

I have configured the apache to work with permalinks’ and pictures of SMF 2, wordpress, joomla, and prestashop all working on this system can be seen in the folder server progs. there is also some files configured for wordpress multisite and these can be found under the folder website/wp-multisite/.

This is so simple to install just unzip the package to your hard drive, your secondary drive or your USB Stick.
All the apache mysql and php files have been configured to work from “/”

Please read the readme file in the archive to install this correctly.

That’s basically it, it’s a simple unzip to a selected drive installation.
It has been tested with Joomla, WordPress, Wp multisite, Prestashop, SMF 2 not smf 2.1 as Smf have not upgraded their system to work with MYSQLi.

you will also need a temp and tmp folder in windows or you will get mysql errors, so just create a windows/ temp and a windows/tmp folder/ one of these will exist and the other must be created…
I have also included the 13-14 and 15— 32 bit and 64 bit versions of the vc redist files in the server-progs folder.

    Enjoy

    John

I can’t speak for anyone else, but I personally would never download this. First, you don’t state the operating system (based on your comment about the VC redistributables I suspect it’s Windows). Second, you don’t provide a filesize or a verification signature for the download, so one knows absolutely nothing about what they’re downloading until after it’s completed.

Third, and most important, no one should ever download executable files from an unknown/untrusted source. Let’s ignore the possibility of the executables containing a virus. Does your ZIP file deal with different versions of Windows, people who already have the VC redistributables installed, or people who already have Apache/MySQL installed (whether individually or through a panel such as XAMPP)? You say you included the 32/64-bit versions of the redistributables, what about 32/64 bit versions of Apache/PHP/etc?

Having said this, I think a guide to set up Apache/MySQL/PHP via downloads from apachelounge.com, windows.php.net, and mysql.com (or downloads.mariadb, org) would be fantastic. I’ve often thought about writing one but never seem to have the time and/or motivation to do so…

yes I understand your trepidation and this was uploaded in rather a haste and perhaps I should have made things a little clearer.

No this is a 64 bit version and only a 64 bit version for windows
and yes the zip file will open in a 32 bit version of any system as it was compressed in a 32 bit version of winrar.

This zip file is also available on Sourceforge so it assumes its credibility from there. https://sourceforge.net/projects/apache-usb-server/

    https://fossforce.com/2016/05/sourceforge-tightens-security-bitdefender-scans/

but at the moment Sourceforge has issues on upload…and I have a ticket pending!

As for your comment about install
Somewhere on one of my drives I actually did as you have suggested and included pics text and necessary changes to allow for this occurence…
